OUR MISSION
The mission of the Carmel River Watershed Conservancy (CRWC) is to protect and improve the health of the Carmel River Watershed for the benefit of its natural environment and the public.
WHAT WE DO
OUR PILLARS OF WORK
The CRWC advocates for water supply, healthy wildlife habitats, and climate resilience throughout the watershed. For 25 years we have been the voice of the river in policy forums, board meetings, and public debates.
RIVER HEALTH
Programs from testing for PFAS to conducting river health research.
CLIMATE RESILIENCE
Building watershed resilience against wildfire, flooding, and drought.
EDUCATION
Providing youth education and adult stewardship resources to protect and restore the river.

WATERSHED TOURS
MULTIPLE DATES / Learn the history, environmental, and community aspects of the Carmel River watershed. We take you on a free guided tour from the Los Padres Dam to the lagoon where the river meets the ocean. Presented in collaboration with the Monterey Peninsula Park District.
