Youth Education Program: Annual Educators Summit: providing field trip buses for disadvantaged schools to explore and learn about the watershed, incorporating watershed curriculum into partner educational programs.
Science Uncorked and Adult Education: A new winter program featuring fun monthly talks at a winery by watershed science experts on topics like the Los Padres Dam, Desalination plant, and Slow Water Stewardship.Watershed Tours and Wildfire Mitigation community meetings.
California Wildlife Day: April 6, 2025, draws over 1,200 attendees with Kids Zone, Wildlife Walks, presentations, and more. Keynote: Erica Gies, National Geographic Explorer.
Advocacy: CRWC leads the Carmel River Task Force (CRTF) and the CR Advisory Committee, catalyzing collaborations to set river priorities and representing the Carmel River in policy forums.
Research: CRWC produces the Carmel River Report Card, providing dozens of metrics on watershed health from research on topics such as species health, water supply, fire fuels impact, and many more. This scientific data guides the restoration plans of the agencies in the CRTF.
